Join our Technology teams and discover how you can be part of this evolution.**About the Role** ---------------- We are looking for a **Semi-Senior PostgreSQL/MySQL Database Administrator** to join a team responsible for operating managed relational database services in public cloud environments. The role focuses on administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of PostgreSQL and MySQL environments, ensuring stability, security, and adherence to agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).**Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Administer PostgreSQL and MySQL instances on AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL, OCI MySQL HeatWave, and Cloud SQL (GCP). * Proactively monitor performance, storage utilization, data growth, and instance parameters. * Resolve database incidents according to defined SLAs. * Execute configuration changes, parameter updates, and maintenance activities. * Manage backup and restore processes on managed platforms. * Apply database engine patches and updates. * Manage users, roles, and technical permissions. * Analyze and optimize performance through slow query review, index management, and basic query tuning. * Document operational procedures and runbooks. * Coordinate activities with CloudOps and Cybersecurity teams regarding vulnerabilities or security incidents. **Mandatory Skills** ---------------------- * PostgreSQL * MySQL * AWS RDS * Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL * Cloud SQL (GCP) * OCI MySQL HeatWave * pg\_dump * pg\_basebackup * mysqldump * RDS Snapshots * Streaming Replication (PostgreSQL) * Binlog Replication (MySQL) * EXPLAIN * EXPLAIN ANALYZE * Index Management * Vacuuming in PostgreSQL * AWS CloudWatch * Azure Monitor * GCP Cloud Monitoring * pgBouncer * Connection Pooling in MySQL * ServiceNow **Requirements** -------------- * 3+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL and/or MySQL administrator in production environments. * Experience with managed database services in public cloud environments. * Knowledge of native backup and recovery tools for PostgreSQL and MySQL. * Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL replication. * Experience in performance analysis and optimization. * Experience using native cloud monitoring tools. * Experience working with ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow. **Competencies** ---------------- * Ability to work in distributed teams alongside professionals with varying levels of experience. * Proactivity in identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations. * Orientation toward documentation and knowledge transfer. * Strong communication and collaborative teamwork skills. **Position Considerations** ---------------------------------- * Working hours: 09:00–18:00 or 10:00–19:00. * Participation in a passive on-call rotation once per month. * Availability to perform scheduled activities outside regular working hours when required. * Availability to work on Argentine national holidays that do not coincide with holidays applicable to the rest of the operation.
