At Prometeo, we solve and automate access to banking data, bank account validation, and initiation of account-to-account payments. **Role Description:** As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing backend services—with a strong focus on frameworks such as Django (with DRF), FastAPI, and asynchronous task handling (AsyncIO). We expect you to possess solid knowledge of software development best practices, automated testing, and the creation of complete, scalable, and efficient solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** * Automate unit and integration tests using Unittest or Pytest. * Manage and optimize containers and services using Docker. * Collaborate on the integration and maintenance of messaging systems such as Celery. * Apply software development best practices by implementing design patterns, ensuring code clarity, comprehensive documentation, and ease of maintenance. * Collaborate closely with frontend teams and other departments to efficiently integrate functionalities. * Optimize development and delivery processes through practices such as CI/CD. **What are the requirements?** * University degree (in progress or completed) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related fields. * Technical English proficiency. * 2–4 years of experience in backend development roles, with hands-on experience in Django, FastAPI, Docker, and automated testing. **Skills and Competencies** * In-depth knowledge of Docker containers and their management. * Ability to write robust automated tests using frameworks such as Unittest or Pytest. * Practical knowledge of Celery for asynchronous task management. * Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS—including EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, and others. * Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
