Finning, CATERPILLAR’s strategic partner and leader in equipment and service distribution, is searching for top talent to fill the role of **Senior Lawyer – Buenos Aires**. Your primary responsibility will be to advise and support internal clients (business units and back-office functions) on contractual, regulatory, customs, and other related matters—primarily serving clients in the mining and/or oil & gas industries—delivering comprehensive advisory services and collaborating on the design of corporate action plans, new business initiatives, and new commercial structures, including influencing the use of industrial promotion or investment incentive programs, while managing risks with a commercial mindset and value-added approach, through to full implementation. Key Responsibilities: * Collaboration in designing commercial and tax structures. * Identification of legal/commercial opportunities. * Analysis of tender documents and contractual documentation. * Drafting and negotiation of complex contracts. * Contract execution. * Identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks. * Monitoring and analysis of legal and regulatory updates affecting the sector. * Knowledge and improvement of relevant internal policies. * Customs matters / ComEx. * Support to other business areas and/or back-office functions. **Requirements:** * Technical-legal knowledge commensurate with seniority level. * Advanced written and spoken English proficiency. * Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. * AI tools experience preferred. * 10–20 years of relevant professional experience, ideally (though not exclusively) combining law firm and in-house legal practice. * Professional experience focused on legal advisory services for heavy industry (preferably mining). * University degree. Postgraduate studies, master’s degree, or specialization in mining law, heavy industry services, or ComEx preferred. * Full-time availability.
