Finning, a strategic partner of CATERPILLAR and leader in equipment distribution and services, is seeking top talent to fill the role of Mechanical Technician at its Buenos Aires branch in Tortuguitas. The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing and assisting in repairs across the general product line. They acquire knowledge of Caterpillar machinery, similar equipment, or other machinery represented by Finning to prepare for more complex tasks in the future. They participate in the removal and installation of major components under direct and/or indirect supervision, depending on the complexity of the assigned task, whether in the workshop or field. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning parts. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Collaborating with more experienced employees. Ordering spare parts. Analyzing written materials such as service manuals, parts manuals, and mechanical and maintenance forms. Removing and installing external components such as hoods, guards, counterweights, panels, etc. Performing removal and installation of major components such as hydraulic valves, engines, transmissions, major machinery components, drive axles, etc. Assembling and disassembling minor components. Conducting basic machine diagnostics through visual inspection of equipment. Required Qualifications: Technical secondary or higher education with specialization in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
