Development of custom applications (low-code/no-code, Python) **Tecpetrol** is seeking students majoring in **Computer Science / Systems Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Data Science** to join its Retiro offices under the **Standard Educational Internship Program.** **Key Responsibilities:** 1\. Support for application ecosystem transformation design and monitoring * Help maintain the domain’s application map: application inventory, functional groupings, hosting, and interrelationships. * Collaborate on classifying applications under the run / grow / transform framework and documenting the roadmap. * Track the backlog and progress of cell initiatives, preparing meeting minutes and status materials. 2\. Support for data work and visualization * Assist in preparing, cleaning, and organizing operational data (production, real-time, maintenance) for analysis. * Collaborate on building and maintaining dashboards and visualizations (Power BI / PI Vision) for operational monitoring. * Support testing, validation, and data loading into stack platforms (PI System, Cognite/CDF, among others). 3\. Process elicitation and documentation alongside technical staff * Elicit and document discipline-specific processes and workflows, identifying friction points, rework, and manual steps. * Document AS\-IS processes and collaborate with technical leads to formulate improvement opportunities. * Maintain the cell’s technical documentation organized and up to date. 4\. Cross-functional collaboration * Support coordination with IT and Data Management to gather requirements (licenses, integrations, data quality and availability). * Collaborate with other NEO cells to identify cross-cutting patterns and capabilities. * Perform specific tasks assigned by the cell leader related to ongoing projects. 5\. Development of custom applications * Participate in developing domain-specific custom applications, supporting the full lifecycle: requirement elicitation, development, testing, and deployment. * Build solutions using low\-code / no\-code tools (e.g., Power Platform \- Power Apps, Power Automate) to digitize forms and operational workflows. * Collaborate on custom development (scripts, automations, prototypes) using Python or other languages, integrating with domain data sources (PI, Zafiro, SAP) via API/SQL as appropriate. * Document and version code and developed solutions, ensuring reproducible steps for maintenance. * Participate in user testing and iterate applications based on feedback. **Requirements:** * Reside in AMBA * Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools (Claude, Copilot, Gemini) and their ecosystems will be valued Are you up for the challenge? **Apply now!**
