Summary: Own and scale Agile delivery and release management, leading end-to-end deployments while maintaining hands-on technical involvement to ensure high-quality software delivery. Highlights: 1. Drive continuous improvement in software delivery and team practices. **Mission** Own and scale the company’s Agile delivery engine and release management function. Build a structured, reliable system that enables consistent, high\-quality software delivery. Lead end\-to\-end deployments (planning, QA/UAT, change control, cutover, post\-deploy verification, rollback) while staying hands\-on enough with technical workflows (SQL, APIs, data handling) to remove bottlenecks and keep delivery moving. **30 / 60 / 90 Day Outcomes** **Day 30 – Assess \& Stabilize** * Audit current project management tools, workflows, and team practices (Jira, Linear, Asana, or equivalent). * Deliver a **gap analysis \+ remediation plan** across: * Backlog structure and hygiene * Workflow states and definitions * Reporting visibility * Team accountability * Map environments (dev/stage/prod), release cadence, and stakeholders. * Implement: * Change log system * Deployment checklist template * Establish baseline Agile cadence: * Daily standup (12:00 PM EST) * Weekly planning/review * Bi\-weekly retrospectives * Baseline key metrics: * Deployment frequency * Lead time for changes * Change failure rate * Mean time to recovery (MTTR) **Day 60 – Implement \& Enable** * Execute remediation plan: * Standardize workflows, naming conventions, and templates * Clean backlog and enforce prioritization discipline * Align permissions and ownership * Implement a structured **release train aligned to sprint cycles** * Define go/no\-go criteria * Approval workflows * Rollback procedures * Build executive and team dashboards: * Lead time, cycle time, throughput * DORA metrics * WIP, velocity * Due date risk and blockers * Deliver SOPs: * Agile Delivery Playbook * Release Management Guide * Train team via: * Loom videos * Live working sessions * Introduce automation where practical: * Ticket state transitions * PR linking and tracking * Deployment tracking integrations **Day 90 – Scale \& Improve** * Achieve measurable improvements: * Cycle time ↓ 20% vs. baseline * On\-time delivery ≥ 90% * Deployment frequency ↑ * Change failure rate ↓ * Blockers resolved within 1 business day (avg.) * Establish: * Quarterly planning cadence * Capacity modeling framework * Maintenance/hardening cycles * Deliver a **continuous improvement backlog** with ownership and review cadence **Responsibilities** **Agile Delivery Ownership** * Design and maintain scalable Agile workflows across engineering and product teams * Enforce standards for backlog hygiene, sprint execution, and delivery accountability **Agile Facilitation** * Lead: * Daily standups * Sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives * Ensure meetings are outcome\-driven, time\-boxed, and actionable **Release \& Deployment Management** * Own end\-to\-end release cycles: * Planning and coordination * QA/UAT alignment * Change control and approvals * Cutover execution * Post\-deployment validation * Rollback readiness **Technical \& Data Support** * Support delivery through hands\-on execution: * SQL queries for validation or migration checks * API testing (Postman/cURL) * Data formatting (CSV/JSON) * Coordinate simple data pipelines or ETL workflows as needed **Planning \& Prioritization** * Lead backlog refinement and sprint/release planning * Enforce Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) **Delivery Tracking \& Forecasting** * Monitor and report on: * Lead time, cycle time, throughput * WIP and velocity * DORA metrics * Identify risks early and drive mitigation **Stakeholder Communication** * Publish concise weekly updates: * Status, risks, decisions, next steps * Align product, engineering, and operations teams **Quality \& Governance** * Maintain: * SOPs and runbooks * RACI structures * Risk and issue logs * Release checklists * Change management records (SOC 2\-friendly) **Automation \& Tooling** * Implement practical automation across tools: * PM platform (Jira, Linear, etc.) * GitHub/GitLab integrations * Workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n) **Required Qualifications** * **English:** C1/C2 proficiency; strong facilitator and communicator * **Experience:** 3–5\+ years in Agile project/delivery management within SMBs or startups * **Agile Systems:** Proven experience implementing or improving Agile workflows in tools like Jira, Linear, or similar * **Release Management:** Experience coordinating production deployments end\-to\-end * **Technical Skills:** * SQL (intermediate proficiency) * Basic scripting (Python or JavaScript) * Git fundamentals * API testing (Postman) * Data handling (CSV/JSON) * **CI/CD:** Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar * **Cloud Exposure:** AWS, GCP, or Azure environments * **Observability:** Basic understanding of logs/metrics (Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.) * **Time Zone:** Available for Americas hours;
