




Position Summary: We are seeking a Project Engineer for VMOS, responsible for coordinating and executing processes during the Extended Basic Engineering and Execution phases. Key Highlights: 1. Engineering, procurement, contracting, and project control coordination. 2. Risk management and development of project execution plans. 3. Participation in economic estimation and contract negotiation. **What Are We Looking For?** We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of PROJECT ENGINEER and join the VMOS team. VMOS Project: the most significant oil transportation infrastructure project of the past several decades. It involves constructing a 437 km pipeline connecting the Vaca Muerta formation, a loading/unloading terminal with interconnected single-point moorings, and a tank farm and storage facility in the Punta Colorada area, Río Negro. **What Will Be the Challenges of This Position?** Coordinate and/or execute processes and activities during the Extended Basic Engineering (EBE) and Execution phases, supporting the Project Manager to achieve defined project objectives. **What Will Be Your Main Responsibilities?** * Coordinate engineering, procurement, and contracting tasks; inspection and commissioning; cost control; and schedule control according to the project execution strategy to ensure consistency of interfaces among all project stakeholders. * Administer contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with Contractor/Supplier obligations as stipulated in Contracts/Purchase Orders, as well as Owner obligations, minimizing claims under contracts/purchase orders. * Coordinate development of the Project Execution Plan during the Extended Basic Engineering and Execution phases to ensure alignment with defined strategy and scope, and to secure coordination among departments involved in developing the Project Execution Plan. * Coordinate the risk management process across all project phases to ensure implementation of necessary preventive actions to meet project objectives. * Coordinate preparation of work proposals, change proposals, and project close-out documentation during the Extended Basic Engineering and Execution phases, establishing the basis for identifying changes and deviations to ensure the defined project scope is the minimum required to satisfy Client needs and that resource allocation is clearly defined. * Participate in the economic estimation process prior to submission to the Client, providing required information for preparing cost and schedule estimates to ensure investment amount and timeline align with selected scope and strategy, and to support analysis of estimate evolution across successive phases submitted to the Client. * Coordinate, during the Extended Basic Engineering and Execution phases, the preparation of tender documents regarding scope definition and contractual/commercial guidelines, and the review of bids and proposals for contract and provisioning awards, participating in drafting corresponding reports to ensure strategic alignment, achievement of project objectives, and risk mitigation. * Participate in technical, commercial, and economic negotiations and in reviewing technical-commercial bids for contracts and provisions to ensure strategic alignment, achievement of project objectives, and risk mitigation. * Analyze service provider performance evaluations and propose development actions to contribute to performance feedback and supplier development for future procurement activities. * Coordinate and supervise resources assigned to the project, motivating and engaging various participants toward achieving objectives to support efficient execution of the Project Execution Plan. * Prepare project performance reports and propose and evaluate corrective actions based on early warnings to ensure stakeholders have timely project information for decision-making and to mitigate risks arising from failure to meet key milestones. **What Do We Value?** * **Academic Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines. * **Prior Industry, Functional Area, and/or Similar Role Experience:** Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in project management, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector. * **Required Technical Knowledge:** + Project Management. + Contract Administration. + Execution Management. + Planning and Control during Execution. + Supply Chain Management. * **Software Tools:** Power BI, Primavera (preferred). * **Competencies:** We seek proactive individuals with strong management and planning capabilities; ability to resolve issues and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders; excellent interpersonal skills; results-oriented mindset; and service-oriented vision. **Position Information** **Direct Reporting To:** PROJECT MANAGER **Work Location:** YPF TOWER, PUERTO MADERO **Willingness to Travel:** Yes (25–50% per month)
