The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high\-performance, database\-driven web applications and system architectures. This role requires a deep understanding of back\-end technologies and best practices, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast\-paced environment. **Responsibilities** * Design and implement scalable and efficient back\-end systems for web applications * Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and JSON\-based web services * Collaborate with front\-end developers and UX designers to create seamless user experiences * Optimize application performance and scalability through code and database improvements * Deploy and manage applications in high reliability production environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS * Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best coding practices * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues * Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends * Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing **Requirements** * 4\+ years developing database driven web applications and high performance application systems * Strong skills in RDBMS databases, especially PostgeSQL * Profound development skills in complex Python applications * Competency in using and building RESTful API’s and JSON * Experience deploying to high reliability production environments * Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GIT * Strong object oriented programming and application design skills * Fluent English communication skills at a B2\+ level **Nice to have** * Scripting in additional languages such as Perl * Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI 3\.0 * Knowledge of continuous integration, testing methodologies, TDD and agile development methodologies * Experience with Web UI, including modern JS frameworks (e.g. React/Redux) * Familiarity with UX design principles is desirable, but not required
