We're looking for a **Mid\-Level Java Software Engineer** to be part of our team in Buenos Aires. We need a candidate who has experiences building and maintaining high\-performance, transactional systems within the telecommunications domain. **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and maintain highly transactional services. * Ensure all new development leverages a modern stack including Kotlin and Spring Boot for building services. * Architect and implement complex solutions using Java frameworks deployed on Weblogic and TomEE application servers * Develop and optimize RESTful APIs adhering to TM Forum (TMF) Open API standards and specifications, including but not limited to Product Ordering, Service Inventory, Customer Management, and Party Management APIs * Build high\-performance microservices using Golang to complement Java\-based systems where architectural requirements demand * Design and optimize complex database schemas, stored procedures, and queries for PostgreSQL and Oracle databases * Implement and maintain cloud\-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Pub/Sub * Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, automated testing, and seamless deployment workflows * Develop comprehensive unit tests and promote test\-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure code quality and reliability * Document technical designs, architectural decisions, and system interfaces for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes **Qualifications** * 3 \+ years of experience developing enterprise\-grade Java applications, with specific expertise in: + Weblogic Application Server configuration, tuning, and deployment + TomEE (Apache TomEE) server administration and application development + Java EE/Jakarta EE specifications (EJB, JPA, JAX\-RS, CDI) + Multi\-threaded programming and concurrent data structures for high\-volume transactional processing + Proficiency in modern JVM development, including Kotlin and Spring Boot for building microservices * Experience working with GCP * Database Experience PostgreSQL/ Oracle Database * CI/CD \& DevOps: + GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build + Docker/ Kubernetes * Testing \& Quality Assurance: Strong commitment to code quality through: + Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG) + Test\-driven development (TDD) methodologies + Integration and end\-to\-end testing strategies + Code coverage analysis and quality metrics * Proven track record of delivering large\-scale, highly transactional systems in production environments *At TELUS Digital, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
