Promote continuous learning and mentorship We are looking for a **Chief Java Developer** to head a skilled team of 4\-5 engineers focused on delivering robust Liferay Portal solutions. You will spearhead architectural design, oversee implementation, and ensure seamless integration with SQL and React components. Join us to lead a high\-performing team through complex and rewarding projects. **Responsibilities** * Guide a team of 4\-5 developers in designing, developing, testing, and supporting the Liferay Portal * Promote a culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge exchange within the team * Perform regular code assessments to maintain high standards and best practices * Collaborate with project stakeholders and cross\-functional teams to meet delivery timelines * Lead the design and development of portal features using Liferay, SQL, and React technologies * Participate in coding activities, review pull requests, and contribute actively to the codebase * Oversee integration of Liferay with other platforms through APIs and services * Diagnose and resolve issues impacting portal performance, functionality, and integrations * Plan, maintain, and optimize SQL database structures for the Liferay Portal * Ensure security, data accuracy, and efficient database operations **Requirements** * Extensive Java development experience exceeding 7 years including strong skills in Liferay, SQL, ReactJS, and Spring framework * Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing teams of 4 or more developers * Proven track record managing projects involving Liferay Portal development and integrations * Strong understanding of Hibernate and Microsoft Azure environments * Excellent analytical and problem\-solving abilities * Effective communication and interpersonal skills to enhance team collaboration * Capability to mentor and support junior development staff * Experience in database architecture and SQL optimization * Hands\-on Java programming expertise with related frameworks * English proficiency at B2 level or above **Nice to have** * Certification related to Liferay or Java technologies * Experience with cloud platforms beyond Microsoft Azure * Knowledge of other front\-end frameworks * Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tooling * Experience in API creation and integration
