We are looking for a **Middle Android Engineer** to design, develop, and maintain modern Android applications using the latest technologies and architectural best practices. You will work closely with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality mobile experiences while contributing to architecture decisions, engineering standards, and continuous improvements across the development lifecycle. This position requires candidates to be **currently located in CABA/AMBA (Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area)**, as close collaboration with the local team is required. ***This is you*** * 5\+ years of commercial experience in Android application development. * Strong proficiency in **Kotlin** (1\.9\.x or later preferred). * Solid understanding of **MVVM** architecture and **Clean Architecture** principles. * Strong knowledge of software design patterns, including **Factory, Singleton, Repository, Observer**, and other common architectural patterns. * Experience developing modern Android user interfaces using **Jetpack Compose**. * Strong understanding of **Material Design** and theming in Compose. * Experience managing application state using **ViewModel**, **State**, and **MutableState**. * Strong experience with **StateFlow**, **SharedFlow**, and **Kotlin Coroutines** for asynchronous and reactive programming. * Hands\-on experience implementing dependency injection with **Hilt (Dagger)**. * Experience consuming **RESTful APIs** using **Retrofit** and **OkHttp**. * Experience with data serialization using **Kotlinx Serialization** or **Moshi**. * Experience writing unit tests with **JUnit** and UI tests using **Compose Testing** and **Espresso**. * Experience using mocking frameworks such as **Mockito** or **MockK**. Nice\-to\-have skills: * Experience with **Navigation Component**, including Deep Links, Safe Args, and back stack management. * Experience with **Gradle (KTS)** and dependency management. * Familiarity with application modularization. * Experience using **Firebase Crashlytics** or similar monitoring and logging tools. * Experience working with AI\-powered development tools such as **GitHub Copilot**, **Microsoft 365 Copilot**, or similar AI assistants. * Experience applying **Prompt Engineering** techniques for code generation, debugging, testing, documentation, and development automation. * Knowledge of mobile performance optimization and Android best practices. ***This is your role*** * Design, develop, and maintain Android applications following **MVVM** and **Clean Architecture** principles. * Build scalable, maintainable, and high\-quality mobile solutions using modern Android development practices. * Develop intuitive user interfaces using **Jetpack Compose** and Material Design guidelines. * Manage application state using **StateFlow**, **SharedFlow**, and **Kotlin Coroutines**. * Implement and maintain dependency injection using **Hilt**. * Integrate and consume RESTful APIs using Retrofit, OkHttp, and serialization frameworks. * Write and maintain unit tests, UI tests, and automated test suites to ensure software quality. * Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA engineers, and other cross\-functional stakeholders to deliver new features. * Utilize AI\-assisted development tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, enhance documentation, and accelerate software delivery. * Apply Prompt Engineering techniques to support software development, debugging, testing, code generation, and technical documentation. * Monitor application stability and performance using tools such as **Firebase Crashlytics**. * Follow Git best practices, code review standards, and collaborative branching strategies. * Contribute to continuous improvements in architecture, engineering standards, code quality, application performance, and development processes. ***What awaits you at Avenga?*** *At Avenga, everyone matters.
