Your mission will be to design, build, and optimize robust, secure, and scalable data pipelines that enable reliable information flow within the organization and empower better business decisions. This role combines data engineering, cloud infrastructure, quality assurance, observability, and sound software development practices. It is not merely about moving data between systems—it is about ensuring data is available, trustworthy, traceable, and efficiently usable by Product, Analytics, and Business teams. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Design and develop efficient, secure, and scalable ETL and ELT data pipelines. * Build data ingestion, transformation, processing, and loading processes. * Maintain and optimize data solutions built on Snowflake, Apache Airflow, and relational databases. * Use Python and SQL to process information, model data, and optimize queries. * Administer and optimize data storage and processing in AWS environments. * Integrate services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena into the data platform. * Implement quality controls, validations, and automated testing for pipelines and transformations. * Incorporate monitoring, alerts, and observability mechanisms to detect failures, delays, or inconsistencies. * Resolve performance, availability, and data quality issues in production environments. * Apply sound software engineering practices—including version control, code review, documentation, and CI/CD. * Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Technology, and Business teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. * Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and solutions. **Mandatory Requirements** -------------------------- * More than 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles. * Solid experience designing and building ETL or ELT data pipelines. * Hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments. * Experience developing and maintaining DAGs and pipelines with Apache Airflow. * Advanced proficiency in Python applied to data engineering. * Advanced proficiency in SQL, including modeling, transformation, and query optimization. * Experience with relational databases—preferably PostgreSQL. * Experience working with AWS and services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena. * Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including IAM, EC2, or EKS concepts. * Experience with Git, GitLab, or equivalent version control tools. * Experience participating in CI/CD pipelines. * Knowledge or experience in automated testing applied to data pipelines. * Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams. * Autonomy to solve medium-complexity problems and propose improvements. * Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. **Nice-to-Have** ----------------- * Experience implementing data quality and observability solutions. * Knowledge of tools such as Great Expectations, Soda, dbt tests, or equivalent solutions. * Experience with monitoring, alerts, logs, and operational metrics. * Knowledge of incremental processing, idempotency, and reprocessing handling. * Experience with data formats such as Parquet or Avro. * Knowledge of PySpark or distributed processing. * Experience with dbt. * Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code—especially Terraform. * Experience with Kubernetes or workloads running on EKS. * Experience optimizing costs and performance in cloud environments. * Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Science, Computer Science, or related fields. * Prior experience in fintech, banking, payment systems, or financial services. * Knowledge of environments handling sensitive data, auditing, traceability, and security requirements. **What Darwoft Offers** ---------------------- * Full-time formal employment relationship * Payment in Argentine pesos * 100% remote work * Competitive salary * Standard vacation and leave entitlements * Additional personal days per year * Access to learning platforms * Benefits card and discounts * Welcome kit * Reimbursement programs * English classes * Referral program * Birthday gift * Healthy Break * Darwoft-style celebrations, anniversaries, year-end parties, and integration activities Explore this and other opportunities at: www.darwoft.com/careers
