Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future. **Department Overview** ----------------------- Systems Design \& Implementation **Job Description** ------------------- **Primary Role Mission:** Provide high-level technical expertise throughout the post-sales lifecycle—including design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance—of mission-critical communication systems. The objective is to ensure that large-scale, complex solutions (e.g., LMR P25, TETRA, and Microwave) operate under strict performance and security specifications, serving as the key technical liaison among internal engineering teams, suppliers, and customers. **Responsibilities and Duties:** * **System Implementation:** Oversee deployment and configuration of radio systems and central infrastructure to ensure reliability standards. * **Design and Integration:** Define system specifications, server infrastructure (VMware ESXi, Linux, Windows Server), and IP/RF network protocols within secure environments. * **Field Engineering:** Conduct site surveys (*site surveys*), manage tower/shelter requirements, and execute complex RF/Microwave link installations. * **Maintenance and Support:** Serve as the expert escalation point for field issues and perform physical optimization routines (antenna systems, cabling, combiners, grounding). * **Project Governance:** Develop technical, tactical, and strategic plans, ensuring compliance with the ATP (*Acceptance Test Plan*). **Basic Requirements** ---------------------- * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electronics Engineering. * **Experience:** More than 3 years of relevant experience in mission-critical communication systems or mission-critical IT infrastructure. * **Mandatory Technical Knowledge:** Experience implementing RF (communication sites and mission-critical systems) and IP networks (OSI model, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.). * **Languages:** Advanced English (spoken and written) for global interaction. * **Mobility and Operations:** Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (25%\-50%) to provide on-site support at remote locations and customer facilities (e.g., trips to Río Negro from BAS). * **Preferred Certifications:** CCNA, CompTIA Network\+, Juniper JNCIA, Nokia NRS1, or PMP/ITIL methodologies. **Travel Requirements** ----------------------- Over 50% **Relocation Provided** ----------------------- None **Position Type** ----------------- Experienced **Referral Payment Plan** ------------------------- No ***EEO Statement*** Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
