Job Description and Responsibilities **Schedule:** Rotating shift **Level:** Operational **Area of Expertise:** Software **Position Objective:** Develop, maintain, and optimize industrial automation software that controls production processes, ensuring correct operation of electro-electronic systems, equipment availability, and continuous operational improvement through technical support, fault resolution, and control system enhancements. **Main Responsibilities:** Develop, modify, and optimize PLC, CNC, and industrial automation system programs. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware faults in industrial equipment. Configure, parameterize, and perform backups of controllers, variable-frequency drives, servo drives, and other electronic components. Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams. Analyze and implement improvements to increase productivity line availability and efficiency. Participate in automation, modernization, and continuous improvement projects. Prepare and update technical documentation, procedures, and maintenance standards. Work with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP PM or similar). Participate in root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies. Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards during all interventions. Requirements **Requirements:** Education in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields. Minimum 6 years of experience as an Industrial Software Engineer, Automation Specialist, or in similar roles. Experience in PLC programming and diagnostics (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, or similar). Knowledge of CNC programming and maintenance. Experience with variable-frequency drives, servo motors, and motor drives. Solid knowledge of industrial electronics, electrical control systems, and instrumentation. Ability to interpret electrical, electronic schematics, and technical documentation. Proficiency in maintenance management systems (preferably SAP PM). Knowledge of industrial networks (e.g., Profibus or similar). Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (WCM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM) is desirable. Technical English and Italian proficiency for manual interpretation is advantageous.
