This role is critical to standardizing practices, improving squad productivity, and ensuring the technical quality of our internal Python ecosystem. Additionally, you will play an active role as a technical reference—providing advanced support, guidance, and mentorship to consuming teams. #### **What You’ll Do Day-to-Day** **Core Library Development & Design** * Build reusable libraries (SDKs, HTTP/gRPC clients, authentication modules, observability tools, utilities, etc.). * Ensure stable public APIs, semantic versioning (SemVer), and clear documentation. * Publish and manage packages in private repositories via GitHub Packages. **Quality, Testing & Security** * Implement tests using pytest, property-based testing (Hypothesis), and achieve high coverage. * Use quality tools: ruff/flake8, black, isort, mypy, pre-commit. * Ensure dependency security (Dependabot, SCA, Bandit). **CI/CD & Automation** * Build and maintain pipelines in GitHub Actions (lint, test, build, publish). * Define release strategies (alpha/beta/GA) and automate tagging and publishing workflows. **Observability & Reliability** * Implement observability standards with OpenTelemetry (traces/metrics/logs). * Structured logging and monitoring best practices. **Collaboration & Technical Leadership** * Provide expert support to library-consuming teams. * Participate in squad technical ceremonies when libraries impact their development. * Guide, mentor, and supervise (as Tech Lead) when required. * Promote governance practices, deprecation strategies, and technical debt management. #### **What We Expect From You** * +6 years of backend development experience with Python. * Strong experience with Python 3.10+ (asyncio, advanced typing, Pydantic, context managers). * Packaging and distribution (Poetry, setuptools, wheels). * FastAPI, httpx/requests. * SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Redis. * REST and gRPC integrations. * Familiarity with GitHub Actions & GitHub Packages. * Monitoring/Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana. * Excellent communication skills and negotiation ability. * Experience coordinating tasks or guiding other developers. * Teamwork, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset. #### **Bonus Points** * Degree in Systems/Software Engineering. * Knowledge of Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments. * Proficiency in technical English. #### **How We Work at Nonconformist** We value people who… * Are autonomous, responsible, flexible, and embrace change. * Promote continuous feedback, active listening, and value diversity. * Collaborate in teams and share knowledge to build better solutions. * Question assumptions, propose ideas, and turn concepts into action—blending creativity with real-world impact. #### **Our Benefits** * OSDE corporate health plan (for you and your family). * One extra week of vacation. * Birthday day off. * In-house yoga classes. * In-house English classes. * Home, auto, and motorcycle insurance partnership. * Travel insurance partnership. * Opportunity to work with market-leading clients. * Hybrid work model: **1 day per week onsite** at the client’s office. #### **If You Think This Is a Match…** We look forward to your application!
