Efficient and safe design for the company Joining YPF means becoming part of a project that combines experience, passion, and the energy required to continue building our future! **What are we looking for?** We are seeking an Electrical – Energy Specialist Engineer. **Position Mission:** The incumbent will be responsible for performing visualizations for the Energy area, preparing technical scopes to contract engineering services for energy projects related to Substations, Switchyards, and Overhead Lines, and subsequently reviewing documentation to ensure achievement of project objectives (schedule, cost, and quality), while safeguarding the most efficient and safe design for the company. **What do we value as differentiators?** * Education: Electrical Engineers with 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in switchyards and overhead lines. * Requirements: 1\. Solid technical knowledge specific to the Electrical specialty, including familiarity with standards applicable to Substations, Switchyards, and Overhead Lines—primarily at 33 kV and 13.2 kV—standardized materials, safety clearances, mechanical conductor calculations, flexible busbar calculations, maintenance clearances, grounding systems, and short-circuit calculations. 2\. Familiarity with relevant standards (AEA, IEC). Knowledge of electrical discipline documentation across various engineering phases. 3\. Experience in the oil and gas industry covering conceptual, basic, detailed, and extended engineering, designing substations, switchyards, and low-, medium-, and high-voltage overhead lines. 4\. Support during procurement of electrical equipment, including technical analysis of bids and review of manufacturers’ engineering deliverables. 5\. Knowledge of electrical protection systems, electrical control systems, and communications. 6\. Proficiency in specialized software (ETAP) and general IT tools (Office), AutoCAD (2D). 7\. General knowledge of Upstream Process Units. **What will be your main challenges?** * Perform visualizations for the Energy area and prepare technical scopes to contract engineering services for Substation, Switchyard, and Overhead Line projects. * Review technical documentation to ensure compliance with project timelines, costs, and quality. * Analyze, interpret, and provide appropriate technical solutions within the Electrical specialty. * Apply, analyze, and modify Design Specifications and applicable legal technical regulations. * Analyze, validate, and report deviations from Design Specifications, issuing early alerts where appropriate. * Standardize electrical installation designs to contribute to project cost optimization. * Conduct reviews of discipline-specific documents and participate in interdisciplinary reviews. * Prepare and manage technical scope descriptions for contracting engineering services, special studies, and construction works. * Prepare technical bid analyses within the specialty and contribute to technical homologation. * Ensure availability and quality of technical information required for investment cost estimations. **Position Information** * Work Location: Torre Madero or Neuquén. * Work Mode: Hybrid (4 days onsite – 1 day remote). * Willingness to travel: Mandatory. **Important!** To apply, you must have held your current position for at least 2 years.
