Job Summary: Junior Analyst for CREA: will manage technical data products from the Economics Area, generating insights and developing tools to support decision-making. Key Highlights: 1. We are seeking a junior analyst to join CREA’s Economics Area. Their **mission** will be to manage the Economics Area’s technical data products by generating insights and developing technical tools to support decision-making across the CREA network. **Main responsibilities include:** Sourcing and evaluating data from diverse external sources (websites, public agencies, markets, APIs, and information providers). Designing automated mechanisms for information collection. Managing the CREA Agricultural Survey System (SEA CREA): developing and maintaining survey instruments, data processing, and visualization tools for periodic monitoring within SEA CREA. SEA CREA consists of periodic surveys conducted since 2012 targeting entrepreneurs and advisors across the CREA network. Managing Agroseries CREA: developing and maintaining survey instruments, data processing, and visualization tools for periodic monitoring within Agroseries CREA. Agroseries CREA is a tool enabling download and visualization of indicators and prices for inputs, products, and services relevant to the agribusiness sector, collected via direct inquiries to suppliers or public sources. Managing databases: developing and maintaining the Economics Area’s databases, as well as collaborating on inter-departmental and inter-unit development initiatives. Producing technical content: collaborating with the Economics Area’s multidisciplinary team to analyze and develop reports and presentations based on data from the CREA Information System and other sources. Serving as the liaison with CREA’s Data and Digital Development Area: interacting and collaborating on managing the Economics Area’s technical products jointly with Data Area specialists. **Candidate Profile:** Advanced university or tertiary student, or recent graduate in computer science or data science-related fields. Required Knowledge: * Python and SQL programming. Experience developing dashboards and Business Intelligence techniques. * Database design and administration. * Proficient English reading skills for technical documentation and articles. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Theoretical and practical knowledge of the agribusiness sector: academic background related to the field and work experience in the sector. * Knowledge of statistics and econometrics. **Employment Conditions:** Full-time position. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
