




Position Summary: Evaluate, analyze, and execute the optimal procurement option for Spare Parts and/or Technical Supplies, ensuring proper provisioning and operational continuity of machinery. Key Highlights: 1. Manages the technical procurement of spare parts and materials for heavy machinery. 2. Strategic negotiation with suppliers and supplier portfolio development. 3. Provides internal advisory support to optimize costs and procurement. MISSION Evaluate, analyze, and execute the optimal procurement option for Spare Parts and/or Technical Supplies—considering price/quality ratio and delivery lead times—to ensure proper provisioning of the mechanical workshop’s spare parts inventory. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Quote, analyze, and negotiate the optimal (technical) procurement option for mechanical spare parts, supplies, accessories, and/or materials to supply the Mechanical Workshop, thereby ensuring proper operation of Heavy Machinery, Forklifts, Container Handlers, Straddle Carriers, and Trucks. 2) Perform daily administrative operational data entry into the management system to ensure end-to-end traceability of procurement operations. 3) Track purchase order status with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and communicate order status to internal customers. 4) Efficiently and proactively resolve urgent procurement requests to meet the Mechanical Workshop’s immediate needs. 5) Develop and update the supplier portfolio to optimize procurement channels and enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. 6) Analyze, research, and advise internal customers on products and services to optimize costs and guarantee fulfillment of emerging requirements. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Minimum education: Technical Secondary School; university studies are preferred. • Proficiency in reading Manufacturer Manuals / Machinery Blueprints. • Knowledge of Technical Terminology (Mechanical / Hydraulic / Electromechanical). • Familiarity with ISO Standards (9001, 14001, 45001). • Advanced Excel proficiency. • Intermediate Technical English proficiency. • Knowledge of international trade. GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Relevant experience in similar roles within Port Industry, Automotive, Logistics, or Transportation sectors.
