At the Instituto Modelo de Cardiología (IMC), we seek to hire a Full-Time Kitchen Assistant with professional commitment and rigor for our Food Service department. Your role is essential! You will ensure that meals—a key component of treatment—are prepared and distributed under the highest standards of hygiene and clinical accuracy. What will be your daily challenges and responsibilities? Tray Assembly: Rigorously assist in tray preparation and control, ensuring correct application of special diets and accuracy in distribution. Hygiene and Disinfection: Responsible for thorough cleaning and maintaining order in the kitchen, equipment, and utensils, strictly adhering to hospital food safety protocols. Operational Support: Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating supplies, and support chefs in preliminary tasks. Miscellaneous Tasks: Collaborate on various tasks as determined by the department and assigned by the nutrition team. The Kitchen Assistant role is critical to the IMC’s clinical operations. Beyond the kitchen, your work directly impacts patients’ quality of life and timely recovery. We seek someone who understands the value of cleanliness and precision in a healthcare environment. Mandatory Requirements and Key Skills: Education: Completed Secondary Education (Official transcript required). Experience: Prior experience in high-demand or institutional settings (hospitals, industrial cafeterias, nursing homes) is valued. Commercial culinary experience demonstrating organization and efficiency is also considered. Knowledge: Familiarity with Food Handling Regulations (valid certification preferred).
