This role may have between 5 and 10 direct reports and will support the Operations/Installation Manager, while also serving as a field-based change agent to improve communication, project execution, and overall efficiency of Installation Technicians.**Daily Responsibilities** ----------------------------- * Provide support for all types of technical escalations originating from the field team and collaborate with other team members to resolve them when necessary. * Conduct quality control inspections during and after installation and commissioning, reporting findings to project teams and management. * Perform pre-installation technical surveys when required. * Coordinate and manage installation activities, including all related third-party or subcontracted work on projects. * Develop in-depth knowledge of each project’s requirements and objectives—including contractual, technical, scheduling, construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scope of work. * Support and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. * Demonstrate AV installation tasks—including, but not limited to, cable pulling, cable termination, and equipment mounting. * Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural drawings. * Travel to various job sites as needed. * Guide and develop Installation Technicians through their respective development and learning plans. * Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization—adapting flexibly to shifting priorities and goals. **Things to Consider** ------------------------------ * AVI\-SPL reserves the right to modify work hours and location as necessary. Schedules may vary according to client requirements and may include travel to different locations to support accounts. * This position is primarily performed at client sites and may involve environments similar to construction sites. **WHAT WE LOOK FOR** =================== **Essential Requirements** ----------------------------- * Ability to implement and manage installation team activities—including recruitment, training, task scheduling, and application of best practices. * Ability to lead a cohesive team, align management expectations, and develop talent to foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment. * Ability to steer the team toward shared strategic objectives and ensure efficient deadline adherence. * Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to operational initiatives with a results-driven focus. * Knowledge of basic audio, video, and control system signal flow. * Familiarity with audiovisual (AV) or other electromechanical systems. * Excellent strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills. * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. * Skill in managing conflict and maintaining strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels. * Proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working independently while ensuring timely delivery. * Ability to safely and efficiently use hand and power tools. * Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting AVI\-SPL standards. * Completed high school diploma or equivalent. **Desired Qualifications** ------------------------ * Active OSHA 30\ certification. * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. * Knowledge and experience in construction or project management theories and best practices. * Ability to perform basic programming and troubleshooting on control systems and DSP processors. * Extensive experience developing and implementing business processes and optimizing operations.
