This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to influence the technical direction of projects. The Sr. Architect works closely with various teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals and meet high standards of quality and performance. Past experiences should include working in a global organization in either IT engineering or operations of varying size and complexity. Must have broad knowledge of current IT or security technologies to be able to work closely with core Syneos engineering and operations teams for the development of new solutions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead the design and development of complex architectural solutions. * Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams. * Create technical designs and specifications from business requirements. * Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the architecture. * Decision\-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one. * Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. * Enforce quality and compliance standards to adhere to Syneos relevant policies. * Track milestones of dependencies by the various internal delivery teams required for the final solution. * Reporting and identify of potential risks of the solution development to management. * Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards. * Mentor junior architects and engineers. * Continuously improve architecture processes and methodologies. * Ability to react quickly, decisively, and deliberately in high\-stress, high\-impact situations **QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred. * Extensive experience in software architecture, system design, cloud computing and operationalization of the solutions to move to production. * Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to innovate in architectural design. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Worked in engineering or operations support organization to develop \& deliver high quality solutions to customers. * Ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives. **Get to know Syneos Health** Over the past 5 years, we have worked with 94% of all Novel FDA Approved Drugs, 95% of EMA Authorized Products and over 200 Studies across 73,000 Sites and 675,000\+ Trial patients.
