Support diverse client portfolios with core financial operations Acru Solutions is a tech\-forward accounting firm looking for a detail\-oriented Staff Accountant. In this role you'll support a portfolio of clients across their core financial operations — maintaining accurate books, supporting month\-end and year\-end closes, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial records are complete and GAAP\-compliant. You'll use tools like Claude and Claude Cowork to move faster, reduce manual work, and improve the quality and consistency of client deliverables. It's an ideal fit for an accountant who is curious about technology and wants to help shape modern, AI\-supported accounting workflows. **Responsibilities** * Support month\-end close as part of a structured team workflow * Reconcile banks, credit cards, AR, and AP; process transactions per GAAP * Maintain accurate books and prepare standard client reporting packages * Use Claude and Claude Cowork to streamline close reviews, reconciliations, and recurring tasks * Draft client\-ready observations, summaries, and communications with AI support • Help identify and document opportunities to automate or improve accounting processes • Help turn recurring questions or processes into clear internal resources * Support improvements to internal workflows by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or opportunities for better organization **Requirements** • Experience with AP/AR and month\-end close cycles • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (GAAP, financial statements) * Strong Excel skills * Hands\-on with AI tools (Claude, Claude Cowork, or similar) and able to validate their output, not just trust it * Strong communicator; manages multiple clients and deadlines without dropping the ball **Personal attributes** * Reliable, proactive, and highly organized * Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarity when needed * Able to work independently while staying aligned with team priorities * Handles confidential information with care and professionalism **Nice to have** * Experience using AI to automate or streamline accounting processes * Familiarity with prompt design and getting reliable output from AI tools * Hands\-on with workflow automation platforms (Lindy.ai, n8n, Zapier, or similar) * Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, or similar accounting platforms
