Highlights: 1. Own the requirements layer for a major platform migration project 2. Define complex business rules for cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS concepts 3. Work embedded within an agile engineering team on critical financial projects We are seeking a **Lead Business Analyst** to own the requirements layer of a large\-scale platform migration — moving a mature Windows desktop application used by federally supervised banks to a cloud\-native, multi\-tenant SaaS platform. The existing codebase contains 135 screens, significant business logic embedded in UI event handlers, and workflows refined over years of regulatory use. The core challenge is that the desktop and cloud platforms are not equivalent: the desktop was built around a single\-user, single\-institution model, while the cloud introduces concurrent editing, cross\-institution access, server\-side entitlements, and institution federation simultaneously. Defining the business rules that govern all of this — and translating them into acceptance criteria engineering can implement and test — is the central BA responsibility on this project. **Responsibilities** * Own the requirements layer for the migration from a Windows desktop application to a cloud\-native, multi\-tenant SaaS platform * Decompose AS\-IS desktop workflows across 135 screens and translate them into TO\-BE cloud equivalents * Perform gap analysis to distinguish carry\-forward, retire, and redesign features * Elicit and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for API\-backed workflows * Define access control rules (admin/user, report\_preparer, read\-only) as implementable business rules * Model multi\-tenant SaaS concepts, including institution\-scoped data, per\-institution onboarding, and role inheritance * Work embedded within an agile engineering team, producing stories and acceptance criteria consumed directly by developers * Read OpenAPI specs, validate endpoint contracts, and identify mismatches between specification and implementation * Facilitate requirements workshops and UAT sessions with non\-technical end users under filing\-deadline pressure * Manage stakeholders across technical and non\-technical audiences simultaneously * Maintain traceability between desktop behaviour, agreed specifications, and delivered API contracts throughout an 18\-month engagement **Requirements** * 5\+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on software delivery projects, including at least one legacy migration or modernization engagement * At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience * Background in financial services, regulatory, or compliance\-domain projects, with familiarity with audit trail requirements, deadline\-driven workflows, and examiner\-facing data quality * Proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for API\-backed workflows * Expertise in business process modeling, including AS\-IS to TO\-BE workflow decomposition and gap analysis across large legacy feature sets * Skills in entitlement and role modeling, defining access control rules as implementable business rules * Understanding of multi\-tenant SaaS concepts, including institution\-scoped data, per\-institution onboarding, and role inheritance models * Competency in stakeholder management across technical and non\-technical audiences simultaneously * Familiarity with REST APIs and OpenAPI specs, with the capability to validate endpoint contracts * Qualifications in UAT planning and facilitation under filing\-deadline pressure * Experience writing stories and acceptance criteria directly consumed by developers within an embedded agile engineering team **Nice to have** * Knowledge of regulatory call reporting domains for federally supervised banks * Understanding of SAML, OIDC, and SSO concepts sufficient to document federation flows and institution onboarding steps without engineering support * Skills in SQL basics to validate data migration outputs and spot tenant scoping issues * Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II, sufficient to document audit trail and access control requirements as BA artefacts * Background in the Strangler Fig migration pattern, including parallel\-run periods, feature flag rollout, and institution\-by\-institution cutover, along with change management and user adoption experience supporting end\-user transition from desktop to web **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
