To present hardware and software modernization and upgrade plans for these systems. To collaborate closely with IT\-OT and discipline teams to jointly discuss infrastructure plans enabling new data sources and methods of analysis and visualization. To identify business information needs and translate them into solutions delivering value in decision-making and enhancing situational awareness of refinery assets. **Responsibilities and Authorities** **Key Responsibilities Include:** * Develops applications based on the Plant Information System (OsiSoft PI) enabling Big Data \& Analytics tool development. * Ensures high availability of the Refinery’s Plant Information System (OsiSoft PI), as well as maintenance of tags, calculations, models, graphics, and reports. * Collaborates with IT and OT departments to manage system infrastructure and discuss proposals for new technologies. * Identifies business information needs and translates them into solutions delivering value in decision-making and enhancing situational awareness of refinery assets. * Collaborates with the Training Department to develop training plans for various refinery users. * Maintains high availability of multiple interfaces with servers such as DCS (Distributed Control System), SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), OMM (Tank Movement Management System), APC (Advanced Process Control), and Advanced Calculation (AF) and Visualization (PI Vision) servers. * Supports connectivity projects for new data sources or services, including corrosion monitoring systems, SAP, operational patrol systems, augmented reality equipment, IoT sensor networks, or inclusion of new process areas (new projects). * Executes the implementation plan for the refinery process unit performance monitoring system. * Develops and maintains online representations of process units (using Asset Framework) as well as Big Data Analytics applications and KPI dashboards (PI Vision) to improve situational awareness. * Stays updated on industry developments and proposes new tools accelerating Analytics expansion (e.g., Seeq, Trendminer, etc.), presenting them to end users (process engineers, specialists, and management). * Through multidisciplinary collaboration with various refinery departments, facilitates and provides development of digital analytics tools and processes that not only streamline specialist work but also enable systemic improvements in operational safety, asset integrity, compliance, and optimal performance (reliability and margin) in both short- and long-term horizons. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Academic background: Engineer or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Data Science * Language proficiency: Advanced English * Tool knowledge: Experience in Process Industries (Refining/Downstream, Petrochemical, Oil\&Gas/Upstream) developing real-time plant information systems. * Programming: VB, C, or Python — mandatory. * Experience with Big Data/Machine Learning/Analytics tools: desirable * SQL database management: mandatory * Knowledge of operating systems and networks: mandatory * Power BI and Business Intelligence tools: desirable * MODBUS and OPC communication protocols: desirable * Maintenance of Process Industry applications: desirable * Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS): awareness * MES / SCADA solutions: awareness * Cloud technologies and IIoT: desirable * Basic knowledge of unit operations / process equipment: desirable * Industrial Control Systems: desirable * Required certification: OsiSoft PI System Maintenance * Others: driver’s license — desirable **Additional Information** Raízen was established in Brazil in 2011 and has been present in Argentina since October 2018.
