We’re looking for a **Tech Lead** who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and designing systems built to evolve over years—not just implementing the next feature. We expect someone capable of deeply understanding the business domain they work in, collaborating with Product and other stakeholders to translate business needs into simple, robust, and scalable solutions. We seek someone who doesn’t merely implement requirements—but helps discover them, challenges assumptions, and designs systems that evolve alongside the business, balancing delivery speed, maintainability, and operational cost. This role combines architecture, technical leadership, and mentoring. You’ll help the team make better engineering decisions, elevate software quality, and build a platform capable of continued growth. We’re not looking for the person who writes the most code. We’re looking for the person who helps the team build better systems and make better technical decisions. ### **Key Responsibilities...** * Design robust technical solutions for complex problems—prioritizing simplicity, scalability, and maintainability over ad-hoc solutions. * Lead the design of distributed systems—defining architectures, contracts, and service integrations. * Guide the team on critical technical decisions—explaining trade-offs and building consensus. * Identify technical debt and propose continuous architectural evolution—ensuring product growth does not compromise the platform. * Mentor other engineers through code reviews, collaborative design, and hands-on technical guidance. * Elevate software quality by promoting engineering best practices—including testing, observability, deployments, and production operations. * Lead cross-team technical initiatives and ensure proper coordination among teams. * Collaborate with Product and Design to identify technically viable solutions—without losing focus on customer impact. * Proactively identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies. * Actively participate in evolving Xepelin’s engineering standards. ### **What Do You Need to Shine?** * \+8 years developing software in production environments. * Experience designing and evolving high-scale distributed systems. * Ability to model solutions that scale with the business—avoiding unnecessary complexity. * Experience leading complex technical projects involving multiple teams and domains. * Experience making architectural decisions considering trade-offs across performance, availability, consistency, maintainability, and cost. * Prior experience mentoring other engineers—and a proven track record of elevating a team’s technical level. * Excellent communication skills—capable of explaining technical decisions to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. * Experience improving engineering processes, quality standards, and team productivity. * Preferred: experience with TypeScript or Golang. #LI-LO1**Our Benefits:** 🌴 **Xepelin Balance****Vacation Days:** 15 business days.
