Descripción del empleo: **Position:** Senior Data Engineer **Location:** Remote from Argentina or Brazil only (Full\-time, Contractor) We are looking for a **Senior Data Engineer** to join our Credit Platform Data team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes to empower internal business units with accurate, high\-quality data. You will collaborate with product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust solutions, ensuring high performance and scalability for large data volumes. This is a long\-term opportunity to contribute directly to the data infrastructure of a global organization. **Responsibilities:** * Architect, develop, and maintain scalable ETL workflows and data pipelines. * Implement automated data quality checks and validation processes. * Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements. * Monitor and optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and cost\-efficiency. * Diagnose and resolve data\-related issues with root cause analysis. * Document pipelines, ETL processes, and architecture. * Participate in design/code reviews and mentor junior engineers. * Stay updated with emerging data engineering tools and practices. **Requirements – Must Have:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * Expert proficiency in **SQL** for querying and optimizing relational databases. * Strong programming skills in **Python** (Pandas, scripting, automation). * Proficiency in **PySpark** for distributed data processing. * Hands\-on experience with ETL pipeline design and implementation. * Expertise in **data modeling** and schema design best practices. * Experience with **RDBMS** (Oracle, MySQL, etc.). * Strong knowledge of **data warehousing** concepts and best practices. * Proficiency with **Unix/Linux** and **shell scripting**. * Experience with automated testing frameworks for data pipelines. * 3\+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. * Advanced English (B2\+/C1\) for global team collaboration. **Nice to Have:** * Familiarity with infrastructure as code and modern data orchestration frameworks. * Knowledge of cloud data services and big data ecosystems. **What We Offer:** * 100% remote, full\-time contractor role. * Long\-term engagement in global projects. * Multicultural, collaborative work environment. * Opportunities for professional growth and impact in data\-driven decision making.
