If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place. **Dow** has an opportunity for an **Operator** located in **Bahia Blanca, Argentina**. **About You and This Role:** Operates equipment in assigned areas of the plant. Performs and reports on operational activities per the Operations Panel Dashboard (OPD) task list. Uses time effectively to enable sustainable performance outcomes for the facility. Applies operational knowledge and experience to proactively operate the plant safely, reliably, and optimally. Works with shift team members to anticipate and efficiently resolve unplanned events within the shift team’s capabilities, and escalates issues that cannot be resolved to appropriate support roles. May provide training to less experienced operators. Requires established foundational technical skills to perform a variety of routine work activities using existing processes and methods. Note: Operator progression is managed at the site level. **Responsibilities** * Works with shift team members and other shifts to complete assigned tasks. * Conducts effective shift handover as defined in site-specific procedures and operational tools to ensure effective communication and seamless transition to the incoming shift team. * Maintains qualification and certification in assigned areas per site policy, and completes training objectives timely. This includes using time to address skill and knowledge development opportunities. * Advises and trains less experienced operations personnel on process operation, troubleshooting, and use of operational discipline aligned with the plant’s training process. * Performs immediate response activities as assigned, requiring participation in specific training and use of respiratory protection equipment, which requires being facial hair-free to use properly. * May participate in formal and informal root cause investigations for plant events. * Conducts and completes rounds for equipment and critical variable reviews, checking equipment status within their area. * Operates the plant to optimize operations and identify improvement opportunities. * Uses process knowledge and skills to improve plant performance and operational discipline. * Proactively identifies and reports improvements and opportunities using site improvement processes, proper change management practices, and communication tools. **Requirements:** * Industrial technician degree. * Industry experience. * Fluent Spanish. **Important:** * Don’t forget to attach your resume. **Benefits – What Dow offers you** We invest in you.
