You will define target\-state designs, set engineering standards, and guide cloud governance with cross\-functional teams to improve security, reliability, and cost efficiency. Join us and apply today. **Responsibilities** * Own the enterprise AWS architecture vision, reference architectures, engineering standards, and the cloud governance model * Define target\-state architectures, cloud guardrails, and operating principles across AWS environments * Set a cloud\-native, managed\-services\-first strategy, including technology selection criteria and exception processes * Govern the AWS multi\-account architecture, including AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Organizational Units (OUs), account lifecycle management, IAM strategy, network architecture, and security boundaries * Develop and maintain the cloud modernization and technical debt reduction roadmap by identifying workloads to modernize, re\-platform, refactor, retire, or retain * Create and govern approved AWS services, reusable design patterns, and reference architectures for compute, containers, serverless, storage, databases, integration, observability, and data platforms * Establish standards for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, policy\-as\-code, automated testing, release management, and cloud platform automation * Define architecture patterns and governance for observability, monitoring, logging, and operational telemetry using platforms such as Datadog and native AWS services * Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and application teams to shape landing zone architecture, infrastructure automation, deployment standards, security, resiliency, disaster recovery, operational readiness, cost, performance, and operational efficiency standards * Review and approve complex solution designs, cloud migrations, and strategic platform initiatives * Govern architectural compliance and alignment with AWS Well\-Architected Framework principles, including security, reliability, operational excellence, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability * Collaborate with FinOps to embed cost visibility, capacity planning, and financial accountability into architectural decisions **Requirements** * Extensive background with 9\+ years of professional experience in software development * Demonstrated experience designing cloud architecture in enterprise AWS environments * Deep expertise with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and IAM * Hands\-on proficiency with VPC, Transit Gateway, and Route 53 * Solid knowledge of ECS/EKS, Lambda, and event\-driven architectures * Proven experience with RDS, DynamoDB, and S3 * Strong understanding of CloudFront and API Gateway * Advanced skills in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and policy\-as\-code * Practical experience with GitLab, CI/CD architecture, and platform automation * Clear understanding of deployment strategies, environment promotion models, and DevSecOps practices * Working knowledge of Datadog, CloudWatch, and logging, monitoring, and observability * Good grasp of SRE principles, cloud security architecture, and governance * Strong capabilities in resiliency, backup, disaster recovery, and operational excellence * Advanced proficiency in English (C1\+) **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
