Position Summary: We are seeking a Laboratory and Quality Control Technician to conduct tests and quality controls on plastic materials, interpreting results to improve processes. Key Highlights: 1. Position Objective To conduct and coordinate laboratory tests and quality controls on plastic materials (raw materials, materials in production, and shipped products), interpreting results and providing technical conclusions for process improvement and claim management, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with technical standards of the plastics industry. Main Responsibilities • Perform quality controls on raw materials, production, and finished products. • Carry out laboratory tests for characterization and verification of plastic materials. • Prepare, identify, and store laboratory samples. • Record, analyze, and archive test results, control data, and claims. • Issue quality certificates and related documentation. • Collaborate in tracking customer claims and internal deviations. • Apply root cause analysis methodologies and follow-up on corrective actions. • Conduct and supervise tests in accordance with sector technical standards (ASTM, ISO, IRAM, or other applicable standards). • Maintain the laboratory operational, orderly, and organized. • Collaborate in implementing quality area procedures, records, and acceptance criteria. Requirements • Technician or advanced student in fields related to plastics, chemistry, materials, or industrial processes. • Knowledge of typical plastic laboratory tests (e.g., density, melt flow index) under ASTM/ISO standards. • Proficiency in basic computer tools. • Interest in quality control and management systems. • Prior experience in laboratory or quality control (desirable but not mandatory). • Residence in areas near Pilar.
