Summary: Join The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection as a Senior Engineer to modernize integration estates by converting MuleSoft applications into lightweight Java services running on AWS Lambda and Fargate. Highlights: 1. Redefining ultra-luxury hospitality at sea with impeccable "Gold Standards" 2. Empowering and nurturing talent with principles of trust, honesty, and respect 3. Modernizing integration estates using Java, AWS Lambda, and Fargate ***Join The Ritz\-Carlton Yacht Collection: Where Every Voyage is a Symphony of Luxury*** Embark on an extraordinary journey with The Ritz\-Carlton Yacht Collection, an exquisite extension of the renowned Ritz\-Carlton brand, dedicated to redefining ultra\-luxury hospitality at sea. As a "Lady or Gentleman" of our esteemed team, you'll be entrusted with the art of delivering the impeccable "Gold Standards" that have made the Ritz\-Carlton an epitome of excellence across the globe. **The Employee Promise** At The Ritz\-Carlton, our Ladies \& Gentlemen are the most important resource in our service commitment to each other and our guests. By applying the principles of trust, honesty, respect, integrity, and commitment, we empower and nurture talent to the benefit of each individual and the company. The Ritz\-Carlton fosters a culture where all are valued, quality of life is enhanced, individual aspirations are fulfilled, and The Ritz\-Carlton Mystique is strengthened. *Join us on a journey where every day is a testament to the highest standard of luxury and service. Apply now and be part of an unparalleled legacy in hospitality.* **About the role** We're modernizing our integration estate converting a portfolio of MuleSoft applications (process APIs, system APIs, scheduler apps) into lightweight Java services running on AWS Lambda and AWS Fargate. The work spans finance, procurement, payroll, and operational integrations across systems like Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Workday, Adonis, SAP Ariba, Kyriba, and S3\. We're looking for a hands\-on senior engineer who can take a MuleSoft flow, understand the business intent, and re\-implement it cleanly in Java, without blindly translating XML to Java. You'll set patterns the rest of the team follows, push for simplicity over framework gymnastics, and help us decide where Lambda fits and where a long\-running Fargate service is the better choice. You'll also own a meaningful chunk of the DevOps and automation that makes this migration repeatable, and you'll use AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as a daily force multiplier rather than a novelty. \-\-\- **What you'll do** * Convert existing MuleSoft applications (Mule XML \+ DataWeave) into Spring Boot / plain\-Java services deployed to AWS Lambda or Fargate. * Design generic, configuration\-driven services where multiple integrations can share one codebase. * Own the end\-to\-end slice: build, deploy (Docker / ECR), wire up Secrets Manager, S3, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch. * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), automated build, test, container image publish, multi\-environment deploys (dev/qa/uat/prod), approvals, rollbacks. * Automate the migration itself — repeatable scaffolds/templates for new Lambdas and services, shared common libraries, code generators where they pay off, smoke\-test harnesses, drift checks. * Codify infrastructure with Terraform / AWS CDK / SAM (IaC for Lambda, Fargate task definitions, IAM, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager). * Use AI coding assistants effectively — drive Copilot / Claude Code / Cursor to accelerate boilerplate, DataWeave\-to\-Java translation, test generation, and code review; recognise when not to trust the output, and shape prompts/agents so the team gets consistent quality. * Improve developer experience — local\-run harnesses, scripted env bootstrapping, pre\-commit hooks, lint/format gates, faster builds. * Mentor other developers, run code reviews, and document the patterns we standardise on. * Partner with the D365, Workday, and platform teams to nail down contracts (REST, file\-based, event\-based). * Champion clean code, sensible test coverage, and pragmatic trade\-offs (we prefer minor code duplication over premature abstractions). \-\-\- **Must have** * 5\+ years of professional Java development; deep comfort with modern Java (17/21\), collections, streams, concurrency, HTTP clients, JSON (Jackson). * Strong Spring Boot and REST API design experience — request/response contracts, validation, error handling, versioning. * Hands\-on AWS experience: Lambda, Fargate/ECS, S3, Secrets Manager, IAM, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SNS/SQS. * Strong CI/CD background — GitHub Actions (or GitLab CI / Jenkins), Docker, multi\-env promotion, secrets handling in pipelines, automated rollbacks. * Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, AWS CDK, SAM, or CloudFormation. * Demonstrable, daily use of AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Cody, or similar) on real work — able to talk through what they do well, where they fail, and how you guard against bad output. * Comfortable reading MuleSoft flows and DataWeave — or confident you can ramp up quickly on them. * Solid grasp of software design: SOLID, layered architecture, testability, idempotency, observability. * Strong Git workflow, code review etiquette, and clear written communication. \-\-\- **Nice to have** * Prior experience migrating MuleSoft (or similar iPaaS — Boomi, webMethods, Tibco) to plain Java/Spring Boot. * Experience with Dynamics 365 (FO) OData / Data Management APIs. * Familiarity with Kafka, GraphQL, OAuth2 / Azure AD. * Exposure to front\-end work (React, Angular, or similar) — enough to debug an end\-to\-end issue and make small UI changes. * Working knowledge of Python or Node.js, or a clear track record of picking up new languages quickly. Some of our adjacent services are written in Python and we expect occasional cross\-language work. * Hands\-on experience building custom prompts, agents, or MCP servers / Copilot extensions to automate team workflows. * Experience with observability tooling — Datadog, New Relic, OpenTelemetry, structured logging, alerting on SLOs. * Familiarity with OpenAPI / JSON Schema, MapStruct, JUnit 5 / Mockito, Testcontainers. * Background in financial / ERP integrations (GL journals, payments, reconciliation). \-\-\- **How you work** * Pragmatic over dogmatic: you reach for the simplest thing that solves the problem. * Automate the second time you do anything: manual steps are tech debt; you replace them with scripts, pipelines, or templates. * AI\-fluent, not AI\-dependent: you use Copilot / Claude / Cursor to move faster, but you read every diff, write the tests, and own the result. * Curious across the stack: happy to dip into Python, Node.js, IaC, or a bit of front\-end when the work calls for it. * Outcomes\-driven: you measure your work by what runs reliably in production, not lines of code shipped. * Collaborative: comfortable asking questions, challenging requirements, and explaining trade\-offs to non\-engineers. *Join us in shaping unforgettable journeys for our guests where the world’s most luxurious yachts meet the legendary service of The Ritz\-Carlton Yacht Collection.* *The Ritz\-Carlton Yacht Collection is an Equal opportunity, inclusive employer and will consider all applicants for employment with the Company on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law.* Job Type: Full\-time Language: * English (Required) Location: * Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires
