Main tasks to perform 1\) Job-specific duties: Dispensing medications and products: know the different pharmaceutical forms, drug administration routes, active ingredients, brand names, over-the-counter and prescription drugs, etc. Understand the characteristics and requirements of Health Insurance Providers (Obras Sociales) to detect prescription errors and dispense correct medications. Use of pharmacy software: maintain full control over inventory and sales, as well as billing to Health Insurance Providers; perform searches for medications or products; order medications by laboratory, price, etc. Customer-patient service: know how to properly attend customers-patients, with preparation in interpersonal relations to act appropriately in each case. Maintain medication and product inventory control. Place orders to the drugstore. Monitor medication expiration dates and report upcoming expirations in advance. Dispense medications and advise patients on correct usage. Store medications properly according to preservation guidelines. Know the administrative tasks of the pharmacy.
