**Your New Role**
At Warner Bros. Discovery, we are seeking a **temporary BOC Operator** to join our Broadcast Operations team. This position will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the proper transmission of television signals, maintaining content operational continuity, and providing technical support for potential incidents in recorded and live broadcasts.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
* Operate video signals via an automated transmission system, controlling broadcast timing, and monitoring video, audio, subtitles, identification logos, remote command tones, and other secondary effects and events; making necessary adjustments to the broadcast schedule to correct detected mismatches, errors or issues, and adapting event and block durations to maintain programming alignment with the planned or established timeline per supervisor or manager instructions.
* Perform monitoring at the broadcast output and also at satellite reception; for certain signals, audio and video failure alarms are available as support.
* In case of failures or issues, perform one or more of the following actions:
+ Switching to backup equipment via electronic systems.
+ Replacing content with pre-designated emergency material.
+ Manually activating or deactivating devices.
+ Switching video source to an alternate server and/or external sources.
+ Redirecting audio channels.
+ Modifying events in the broadcast schedule.
* Report and, where applicable, document detected issues and corrective actions taken.
* Review stored material prior to future broadcast, and test graphics, subtitles, and other operational verifications of equipment and/or content per supervisor instructions.
* The tasks listed above apply to both recorded material and live programming broadcasts.
**Qualifications and Experience**
* **2–3 years’ experience** in similar roles within broadcasting, broadcast operations, master control, or audiovisual environments.
* Knowledge of video and audio signal transmission and monitoring processes.
* Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational incidents in real time.
* Experience working with operational procedures and incident escalation protocols.
* Proficiency with computer-based tools and operational monitoring systems.
* Ability to work under pressure and make rapid decisions in critical situations.
* Detail-oriented, organized profile with strong communication skills.
