Excellent work environment and collaborative culture At Ecosistemas, we are looking for a Backend Developer / API Developer SR with solid experience in API design and development to join our technology team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable and secure APIs, ensuring seamless integration with various systems and applications, as well as ensuring quality, documentation, and continuous improvement of solutions. Responsibilities Design and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs according to functional and technical requirements. Document, maintain, and ensure APIs comply with industry best practices. Collaborate with front-end, back-end teams, and other stakeholders to integrate APIs into various systems. Optimize API performance (response times, caching, rate limiting, etc.). Implement security practices to protect APIs against threats (SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.) and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Debug and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, and security. Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation (endpoints, usage guides, examples). Provide support to internal and external teams using the APIs. Stay up to date with trends and best practices in API and microservices development. Requirements University degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields. 5+ years of experience in API development and integration. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C. Experience in microservices architecture. Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot. Knowledge of API security and authentication (OAuth, JWT, API Keys). Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with version control systems (Git). English required. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and diagnostic skills. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Good communication and teamwork skills.
