Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure for a leading technology company in the gastronomy industry. Key Highlights: 1. This allows us to make long-term strategic decisions. **About the Role** We are looking for someone enthusiastic about joining our Technology team, working either remotely or from our offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on a full-time basis. The person in this position will work closely with our area lead to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure required for the efficient processing and analysis of large volumes of data. **Key Responsibilities:** * Collaborate with data analysis and data science teams to ensure data quality and analytical integrity. * Build and maintain data flows and pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage. * Identify and resolve performance issues in the data infrastructure, and optimize the solution architecture. * Collaborate with software developers and systems architects to ensure scalability and resilience of data systems. * Ensure compliance with data security policies and standards. * Stay up to date with the latest data engineering technologies and tools. **What We Expect From You** **Mandatory Requirements:** * You are a graduate or advanced student in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve performance issues in data infrastructure. * Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams—including data scientists, software developers, systems architects, etc. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation in English. * You are responsible, proactive, and self-sufficient. **Desirable Requirements:** * Scripting languages such as Ruby or Python. * API design and distributed architectures. * Internet protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSH, TCP/IP, etc.). * Configuration and optimization of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). * Design and implementation of Data Warehouse solutions using analytical databases (ClickHouse, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift). * Contributions to open-source projects. **B****enefits** * Internationally competitive salaries. * Flexible employment modalities. * Health coverage depending on employment modality. * Remote, on-site, or hybrid work.
