FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER

We are seeking a **Food and Beverage Manager** for a prestigious hotel in **USHUAIA**. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations related to food and beverage services, including social and corporate events (breakfast, boxed lunches, afternoon tea, cocktail service, dinner, events, and other services as they arise), and delivering a high-quality service and product experience to both external and internal guests. **Key responsibilities include:** ● Lead the food and beverage team (kitchen and dining room), continuously hiring, training, and evaluating staff under direct supervision. ● Administer food and beverage operations: forecast and manage procurement of consumables and capital goods; compare suppliers; maintain an accurate gastronomic system for performance evaluation (e.g., recipe entry, invoice processing, etc.). ● Prepare management reports related to performance: daily revenue and cost reports, cover analysis, monthly income and expense statements, results of promotional activities, profitability, productivity, sales, and stock control, among others. ● Develop, implement, and execute event proposals and commercial initiatives linked to gastronomic services. ● Collaborate with management to develop the F&B budget, analyze its progress, and implement necessary adjustments. ● Design menus aligned with the establishment’s offerings and a coherent menu engineering strategy; propose improvements based on execution feedback. ● Jointly define and evaluate departmental objectives with management; measure KPIs; establish work schedules and procedures; standardize processes; and monitor implementation. ● Promote two-way communication and foster a culture of accountability, emphasizing motivation and teamwork. ● Proactively identify guest needs and respond to concerns within the hotel’s policies. ● Maintain an exceptional level of customer service. ● Resolve internal contingencies and those involving guests. **Requirements:** ● Experience leading kitchen and dining room teams. ● Professional-level knowledge of gastronomy; kitchen experience preferred. ● Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating food and beverage operations and managing public-facing interactions—including guests, suppliers, and team members—ideally within the hospitality industry. Intermediate English language proficiency. ● Valid health certificate. ● Must reside in or relocate to Ushuaia. **Preferred qualifications:** ● Experience in hospitality and hotel gastronomy. ● Direct hands-on kitchen experience. ● Proficiency in Point / Arion systems. ● Academic background in related fields (Gastronomy, Hospitality, Tourism). ● Portuguese language skills. ● Knowledge of enology and mixology.
