Translate abstract security concepts into narrative-rich visuals **Location: Remote North to South America** **Remote \| Full\-time** **Compensation: $100K – $180K • 0\.05% – 0\.25%** We are hiring on behalf of a high\-growth, venture\-backed leader in the open\-source security infrastructure space is seeking an exceptional **Founding Designer** to join its world\-class team. This organization is currently building the next generation of security tools for the AI era and has raised significant funding from top\-tier investors including Y Combinator and Google. **The Role** The Founding Designer will own and define the visual identity of the brand and marketing surfaces end\-to\-end. As the company scales, the complexity of its brand presence has expanded, requiring a coherent, high\-quality, and memorable aesthetic that reflects both technical depth and ambitious vision. This individual will translate abstract security concepts into narrative\-rich visuals, proposing creative directions and ensuring a high level of craft across all public\-facing touchpoints. **Key Responsibilities** * **Brand Ownership:** Define and evolve the visual identity, ensuring a bold, original, and cohesive design language across the entire organization. * **Marketing Design:** Design and iterate on high\-impact surfaces including the core landing page, blog, and digital marketing assets. * **Cross\-Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with a Co\-Founder and the Marketing, Sales, and Developer Experience teams to execute creative strategies. * **Physical \& Event Design:** Create compelling visuals for conference booths, presentations, and high\-quality company merchandise. * **End\-to\-End Execution:** Take abstract ideas from concept to final delivery, maintaining high standards of detail and consistency. **Requirements** * **Professional Experience:** Proven track record in a design role (Brand, Visual, or Communication Design) with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft and concept\-driven work. * **Aesthetic Judgment:** Ability to produce sophisticated, original designs that communicate technical depth with clarity and impact. * **Autonomy:** High comfort level operating in ambiguity; the ability to generate creative directions with limited input and minimal hand\-holding. * **Execution Velocity:** A strong bias toward action with the ability to iterate quickly and make informed decisions in a fast\-paced environment. * **Location:** Based in the Americas or willing to work primarily within North American time zones. **Preferred Qualifications:** * **Technical Skill:** The ability to ship landing pages end\-to\-end without requiring engineering support. * **Innovation:** Familiarity with AI\-powered creative tools for inspiration, experimentation, or execution. * **Scaling Experience:** Experience helping scale a design function or leading a major corporate rebranding effort. **Benefits** * **Compensation:** Competitive salary range of **$100K – $180K** based on experience. * **Equity:** Meaningful ownership stake with an equity range of **0\.05% – 0\.25%**. * **Work Environment:** Fully remote flexibility within North and South America. * **Stipends:** Provisions for lunch and a dedicated budget for a professional home office setup. * **Culture:** Opportunity to work with a team of experts from organizations such as Figma, AWS, and Red Hat. * **Engagement:** Annual in\-person off\-sites, conferences, and team gatherings to foster collaboration. **Due to the high volume of applications we anticipate, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all candidates.
