This position helps provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly mission home for mission presidents, their families, and occasionally, when required, missionary meetings. It promotes sanitary conditions that prevent the spread of infections and odors. The individual must follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of, or moving objects/materials and/or cleaning infectious materials according to established procedures and regulations. This role also involves food preparation, menu planning, and following recipes for the individuals being served. * Prepare food, menus, and recipes for the individuals being served. Must assist in serving meals to residents. Works to meet time and quantity requirements as dictated by the situation. Ensures proper handling and storage of food and leftovers. * Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, etc. * Maintain household sanitation through washing, cleaning appliances, and furniture. Responsible for removing garbage, waste, and other disposable materials. * Must maintain proper safety standards when using cleaning products (proper daily floor mopping, kitchen surface cleaning, general tidiness, correct use of equipment under safe conditions, etc). * Report any necessary repairs immediately to the supervisor (such as leaking faucets or toilets, loose tiles, broken glass, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.). Use safety precautions in all cleaning tasks. Mandatory Requirements: * Must possess a current temple recommendation. * Knowledge of food preparation and ability to follow moderately complex menus and recipes. * Ability to use various kitchen appliances and read and follow nearly all recipes. * Strong communication skills and courteous interpersonal conduct. * Must be able to lift/move/maneuver objects, stand throughout the entire shift, perform repetitive motions, and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be punctual and capable of working independently. * Desirable Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent, and verifiable experience of 2 to 4 years in cleaning and food preparation. * Possession of work references related to these tasks. * Ability to communicate in English.
