Description

The 1986 Renault 4 GTL is an outstanding vehicle. Its mechanical system is very simple. It consumes very little fuel; its spare parts are inexpensive and easy to obtain. If properly maintained and driven at a prudent speed, this car can take you to the ends of the earth (it even reached Patagonia). Ideal for a collector seeking a gem. Low-consumption 1.1 L engine, simple to maintain. Elevated suspension with excellent responsiveness both in urban areas and on rough roads. Comfortable interior in excellent preservation condition, featuring foldable seats and ample cargo space thanks to the rear hatch. Also includes roof racks. Registration is up to date; I am currently processing its RTO renewal. Items requiring repair: the front under-chassis section, which, due to its age, is corroded (this is not difficult for a body shop technician), and the central door locking mechanism (I did not fix it because, in the town where I lived, there was no issue with doors remaining unlocked). Major advantages: Impeccable interior, fully rebuilt engine—including the carburetor precisely tuned by an R4 specialist—and brand-new original tires.
