Advise, collaborate, verify, and supervise Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management across various operational fronts. Disseminate, comply with, promote, and monitor all standards stipulated in the company’s HSE processes, procedures, and standards, as well as applicable legal regulations. Serve as an agent of change: control and eliminate exposures—both personal and others’; work with safe behaviors and strengthen H&P’s safety culture. Know, disseminate, comply with, and promote the Company’s strategic tools: The H&P Way, H&P’s Safety Vision, H&P’s HSE Policy, H&P’s Life-Saving Rules, Actively C.A.R.E. Goals, and CARE System processes (COACH, Pre-Task Planning, R&R Program, HSE Standards, HSE Procedures, etc.). Coordinate, implement, promote, and supervise the proper execution of H&P’s health, safety, and environment processes, plans, programs, and procedures. Conduct HSE audits at worksites. Conduct HSE audits of contractors at worksites and manage contractor performance at worksites. Develop reactive and proactive HSE statistics and analyze trends. Verify and ensure compliance with current HSE legislation. Coordinate and conduct training and development activities that reinforce and support knowledge of and application of H&P’s HSE tools, procedures, and standards, promoting identification, control, and elimination of personal and others’ exposures. Communicate SIF exposures, lessons learned, and safety alerts during scheduled meetings. Participate in and lead investigations of incidents with potential SIF, and assist in investigations of non-SIF incidents. Follow up on closure of HSE incident corrective actions and verify their proper implementation. Maintain the eSAFE database updated with HSE incident information, corrective actions, and their closure. Manage accident notifications with the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Provider (ART). Respond to information requests and inquiries from operators. Support operator-conducted HSE audits. Maintain open communication with the HSE Manager to analyze trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities, and collaborate in improving the HSE Management System. Manage Service Orders for procurement, maintenance, and/or certifications related to HSE operations. Lead, collaborate with, and train field HSE Coordinators. KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS: Minimum educational level, experience, technical knowledge, communication skills, licenses, and certifications typically required to perform this job. Academic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or Engineering degree with postgraduate studies in Occupational Hygiene and Safety. Languages: * Intermediate level of spoken and written English. Technical Knowledge: * Legislation regarding environmental protection, occupational hazards, and industrial hygiene and safety. * H&P’s HSE Standards and Guidelines * Corporate HSE Procedures * CARE System * Behavioral Audits * Chemical Handling * Rig Work and Risk Mapping * First Aid and CPR * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet, etc. Experience: * Equivalent combination of education and experience. * Rig work experience * Emergency response to contingencies * HSE Audits * Management Systems * Preparation of HSE performance reports and indicators * Implementation of HSE corrective actions WORK RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS: Positions and relationships with individuals other than direct supervisors and immediate peers. Internal – Operations Superintendent, HSEQ Manager, Operations Manager, and all personnel working on rigs. External – Direct contact and company representation toward the Operator and subcontractors.
