They are looking for a seasoned independent consultant who can turn fragmented data ecosystems into reliable, scalable foundations for insight and AI\-driven solutions. This role is ideal for someone who has led data teams, built data practices, or brought structure and governance to complex data environments. Think of it as helping design and build the **data foundation beneath the AI skyscraper** . **The Role**This is a strategic, hands\-on role focused on designing and operationalizing a data practice from the ground up. You will help define offerings, frameworks, and delivery models while advising on early client engagements. This is not a theoretical role—it combines **strategy, design, and execution** . **Key Responsibilities*** Define the Data Services practice model, offerings, and go\-to\-market approach * Build frameworks and accelerators for data governance, readiness, architecture, and data quality * Partner closely with AI leaders to ensure data underpins all AI engagements * Support pre\-sales and early delivery efforts (light involvement, high impact) * Advise on hiring profiles and the future structure of the data practice team **What You Bring*** 10\+ years of experience leading data engineering, architecture, governance, or analytics teams * Strong consulting background with experience building practices, services, or reusable IP * Deep understanding of modern data platforms and how they enable AI/ML initiatives * Executive\-level communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts * A bias for action and outcomes over theory **Engagement Details*** Contract engagement: 3–6 months * Estimated workload: \~15–30 hours per week * Fully remote, with optional in\-person collaboration **Why This Client**This firm is the consulting partner organizations turn to when they need clarity and results—offering strategic thinking without unnecessary complexity.
