Job Summary: We are seeking a VRT Operator to join the maintenance team, performing preventive and corrective tasks on production lines and automated warehouses to ensure operational continuity. Development in diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical failures At Contalent, we are supporting a major food industry company in hiring a VRT Operator to join its maintenance team in Azul, Buenos Aires Province. Location: Azul, Bs. As. Or willingness to relocate to Azul. The company offers relocation support. Work Mode: On-site Department / Division: Maintenance – VRT Work Schedule: Rotating shifts 6x2 (occasionally 6x1). Fixed day off on Sundays. Shift hours: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 / 22:00–06:00. Job Objective: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on secondary packaging production lines and automated warehouses, ensuring equipment operational continuity. Work in extreme cold environments and at height. Main Responsibilities: • Diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical failures. • Maintenance of stacker cranes and conveyor belts. • Replacement and repair of gearmotors, shafts, and belts. • Intervention on electrical circuits of 24V, 220V, and 380V. • Detection of faults in sensors, variable frequency drives, and encoders. • Welding work on metal structures. • Work in cold rooms between 4°C and -23°C/-40°C and tasks at height. Required Education: Electromechanical Technician (mandatory). Required Technical Knowledge: • Industrial electricity. • Industrial mechanics. • Basic pneumatics: pistons, pneumatic cylinders, actuators, and 3/2 valves. • Fault identification in variable frequency drives. • Electrode welding on metal structures. • PLC and automation: basic knowledge preferred. Required Experience: Minimum 5 years in industrial electromechanical maintenance. Preferred Industries: Cold storage facilities, food industry, and fishing industry.
