This role is responsible for supervising the accounting team, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, preparing key financial statements, and supporting leadership with strategic insights. The Lead Accountant acts as a bridge between the accounting staff and senior management, ensuring the integrity of all financial data. **Responsibilities** * Manage the general ledger, month\-end, and year\-end closing processes. * Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports (P\&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for management review. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. * Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls. * Support annual audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors. * Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. * Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting clerks. * Collaborate with different teams to provide accurate data for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. * Assist management with variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting requests. * Contribute to system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). * 5\-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. * Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements. * Proficiency working with D365 Business Central. * Advanced English proficiency (native or B2 level). Portuguese is a plus. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced, dynamic environment. **Technical Skills** * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Skilled in implementing accounting and business controls. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. **Management Skills** * Strong written and oral communication. * Sound judgment and decision\-making. * Critical thinking and advanced problem\-solving. * Ability to lead, train, and develop junior staff. **Location: This position will require 3 days at the office: Artilleros 2436, Nuñez.** **Okeanos Group, LLC, its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and partners are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
