A Technical Support professional to join a major university. · Work location: Victoria, San Fernando Work modality: 100% on-site Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM; Saturdays, 5 hours · What will be your responsibilities? In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Diagnose, repair, and maintain PCs, laptops, and peripherals used by faculty, administrative staff, laboratories, and classrooms. - Assemble, configure, and upgrade desktop and portable devices. - Provide on-site and remote technical support for basic hardware and software failures. - Manage equipment and spare parts stock and inventory. - Log incidents in the ticketing system and track them to resolution. - Coordinate with suppliers for repairs and warranty claims. What do we require? You must have: - Proven experience in technical support with a focus on hardware (minimum 1 year). - Knowledge of PC and laptop diagnostics and repair (component replacement, cleaning, upgrades). - Proficiency with Windows 11/Linux, OS and driver installation. - Basic networking knowledge: connectivity, Wi-Fi, first-level diagnostics. - Remote access tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP). - An organized, proactive profile with strong user-facing skills. - Residency in San Fernando or nearby areas (mandatory). Desirable: - Experience in institutional-scale preventive and corrective maintenance. - Knowledge of Active Directory / Azure AD. - Experience managing networked printers and multifunction devices. - IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+ or equivalent). - Currently pursuing a related degree.
