Job Summary: Join the development team of a Virtual Wallet in the banking and fintech sector, building a highly available transactional platform with high standards of quality, security, and performance. Ongoing technical challenges using modern technologies **Python Developer (Senior) – FastAPI / SQLAlchemy / Microservices (Remote) \| Virtual Wallet** Remote · Preferably CABA/GBA (100% remote for interior candidates) Monotributo Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00 hrs · Occasional in-person attendance (~1 time/week when required by the project) **Mission** Join the Virtual Wallet development team within the banking and fintech ecosystem at a digital technology and development company delivering regional projects. You will work alongside a Tech Lead and a team of developers to build a highly available transactional platform, participating in the design and implementation of mission-critical features with high standards of quality, security, and performance. **Your Responsibilities** * Develop new features and evolve the platform using Python * Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance REST APIs * Participate in technical analysis and solution definition together with the Tech Lead * Collaborate on code reviews and continuous improvement of software quality * Integrate external services via APIs * Implement unit and integration tests * Identify opportunities for improvement in architecture, performance, and processes * Collaborate closely with the rest of the team using agile methodologies **What We’re Looking For** * 5+ years of experience developing with **Python** * Excellent command of Object-Oriented Programming * Solid Software Engineering knowledge: SOLID principles, design patterns, decoupling, cohesion, encapsulation, and code maintainability * Strong hands-on experience with **FastAPI** and **SQLAlchemy** * Experience developing robust, versioned, and documented REST APIs * Solid knowledge of **PostgreSQL** and relational model design * Experience with **Docker** and containerized environments * Advanced Git proficiency * Experience integrating services via REST APIs * Knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Roles and Permissions) * Experience with unit and integration testing * Good security practices, data validation, and secret management * Knowledge of microservices-based or loosely coupled service architectures **Bonus Points** * Experience in banking, fintech, virtual wallet, or transactional systems projects * Familiarity with Django / Django REST Framework * Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis Queue, or Celery * Asynchronous processing and scheduled jobs * Observability (logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring) * CI/CD experience * Participation in high-concurrency and high-availability projects **Work Model** * Remote * Availability for in-person meetings when required by the project (~1 time per week) * Preferably CABA or GBA — interior candidates: 100% remote **Why This Role Is Right For You** * You’ll contribute to developing a next-generation Virtual Wallet * You’ll participate in a strategic financial sector project * You’ll face ongoing technical challenges using modern technologies * You’ll join a highly skilled team with an excellent working environment * You’ll have real opportunities for professional growth and career development **How to Apply** * If this is you, apply right here! * If it’s not you, share it with your colleagues!
