Position: Senior SQL Server Database Administrator Job Responsibilities: Install, configure, and update SQL Server software and related products in a Windows environment. Design, create, maintain, and ensure recoverability of SQL Server databases in a Windows environment. Assign storage systems and develop plans for future storage requirements. Capacity planning. Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures. Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain their security. Provide reliable, recoverable, and scalable database computing environments to store and integrate corporate data. Responsible for 24/7 production database support. Establish and maintain documentation and standards. Implement Microsoft best practices. SQL cluster configuration and maintenance. Mandatory Skills: Must have more than 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration in a Windows environment. Experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in enterprise environments, within medium or large companies, is required. Experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable SQL Server database solutions. Expert-level skills in SQL Server database backup and recovery. Extensive experience with replication and AlwaysOn Availability Groups. Experience with SQL Server cluster replication. Strong Windows administration skills. Extensive experience in performance tuning. Experience using SQL Server for monitoring and administration. Experience in high-profile projects with external visibility, revenue generation, and large scale is valued. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet delivery deadlines, and work under pressure. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. · Language level: English B1 or higher (strong English communication skills are required, as daily teamwork is conducted in English, including daily meetings with both the team and the client). Contract Duration: 12 months with extension possibility Work Modality: If residing in Buenos Aires City (CABA) or Greater Buenos Aires (GBA), physical presence is required twice per month (typically on Fridays); otherwise, remote work applies.
