This opportunity is located in Capital Federal, Argentina. **The Role** Wood is looking for a **Cost Control Engineer** with over 8 years of experience. The position will be based in Capital Federal, Argentina. We offer a comprehensive range of engineering and project management services and are market-leading integrators for refinery and petrochemical facilities, driving innovation in sustainable fuels and advanced materials for the energy transition. **What We Offer** * Significant and interesting projects delivered to industry leaders in the Process & Chemicals sector. * Flexible work arrangements that balance client, team, and individual needs. * Commitment to diversity and inclusion across our entire organization, supported by engaged employee networks dedicated to giving voice to all employees. * Flexible benefits package adaptable to your lifestyle. * Commitment to continuous professional development through personalized development plans. * Global connections with industry-leading experts. * Review and maintain the project’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). * Coordinate with other disciplines and Project Controls functions to assist and support development of project budgets in accordance with the Estimation Base, including scope of work statements, assumptions, man-hour estimates, financial narratives, and review and comments on client documents. * Coordinate with the Planning discipline to ensure appropriate budget forecasting and control, and to ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and incorporated into planning. * Coordinate with procurement, finance, and time capture functions—as well as third parties as required—to ensure timely handling of procurement, material, subcontractor, and labor man-hour costs. Ensure costs are correctly assigned according to the project’s approved WBS. * Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and other functions to stay informed about project activities and their impact on budget, schedule, and cost forecasting. * Manage the project work approval/assignment process regarding accurate cost center assignment and initial budget configuration/approval. * Review and maintain project cost budgets using appropriate software applications. * Monitor and control commitments and expenditures across all phases of the project lifecycle. * Coordinate with project management, project planning, and others as required to ensure correct and timely project cost distribution and forecasting. * Provide copies of project cost performance reports, in accordance with project reporting requirements. * Review and issue updates to project cost forecasts. **What Makes You Extraordinary?** At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunity and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
