As Glencore’s portfolio and LOA plans evolve, CPG aims to further expand its impact and influence, promoting safe, responsible, and sustainable project execution for the business. **Cost Analyst, MARA Project** Location: Catamarca, Argentina / Santiago \- Chile Division: Capital Projects Group Reports to: Cost Lead – MARA Project **Qualifications** University or technical degree in Engineering. 3–5 years of experience in cost control/estimation, preferably in EPC/EPCM (experience in mining or natural resources desirable). Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling). Knowledge of Power BI and/or corporate cost tools, ERP systems (SAP, Coupa) is desirable. Understanding of change management processes, estimation, and benchmarking. Intermediate level of English (spoken and written). **Main Objective of the Role** Provide analytical and operational support in cost control, ensuring data consistency, traceability of changes, and timely preparation of reports facilitating project decision-making. **Operational Context** The Analyst will be part of the MARA Project team, working closely with various functional project teams distributed between site and head offices. The role will support them in proper budget management by providing continuous feedback on commitment levels, actual expenditures, and available balances. Additionally, the Analyst will assist in preparing Estimate to Complete (ETC), managing changes and change notifications, as well as reviewing Progress Payment Certificates. The Analyst acts as a supporting arm to the Cost Lead and Project Controls Manager in preparing, consolidating, and controlling cost information. **Control Elements** Capital Management Framework Delegation of Authority Manual Approved Project Capital Budget Steering Committees Company Policies and Procedures **Experience and Competencies** Numerical rigor, attention to detail, and document organization. Ability to consolidate information from multiple sources and identify inconsistencies. Clear communication and collaborative work with engineering, construction, contracts, and finance. Willingness to travel to the project site up to 25% of the time. **Key Responsibilities** Prepare weekly and monthly reports (costs, trends, commitments, actuals, accruals, forecasts) with explanations of variances. Perform reconciliations between actual costs, commitments, and approved budget; flag deviations and missing data. Maintain records and evidence of change management (initiation, evaluation, approval, implementation). Support loading and maintenance of cost metrics/benchmarks and corporate tools. Review Payment Statements according to contractual terms.
