Integration of generative AI (vibe coding) into development Senior Solution Architect | Legacy Modernization (COBOL → Java/Node) Work Mode: Hybrid Working Hours: 9 AM to 6 PM Employment Type: Direct employment with C&S About the Role We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join a strategic project at Santander, focused on modernizing legacy systems (COBOL) into modern architectures based on Java and Node.js. We seek a candidate with an end-to-end vision, capable of designing, defining, and governing complex solutions while integrating emerging technologies and generative AI tools (vibe coding) within the migration process. Responsibilities Design end-to-end solution architectures for COBOL → Java/Node.js migration projects Define modernization strategies: replatforming, refactoring, re-engineering, or rewrite Design and govern vibe coding processes (use of generative AI in development) Establish quality, testing, and security standards for AI-generated code Translate business logic from legacy systems into modern solutions Define architecture diagrams, technical decisions (ADRs), and documentation Evaluate technological alternatives and perform trade-offs Ensure compliance with architectural, security, and regulatory standards Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and technology vendors Areas of Work Legacy modernization: COBOL / mainframe, migration strategies Application architecture: microservices, REST / GraphQL APIs Generative AI: Copilot, Claude, Amazon Q Integrations: APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture Data: model migration, batch processing, analytics Infrastructure: cloud, containers, hybrid environments Security: IAM, encryption, compliance Mandatory Requirements Proven experience as a Solution Architect in enterprise environments Experience in legacy system modernization or migration (COBOL / mainframe) Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js Experience with distributed architectures and microservices Knowledge of cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructures Ability to design end-to-end solutions Experience engaging with both technical and business stakeholders Desirable Requirements Experience in banking or financial services Knowledge of generative AI applied to development (Copilot or similar) Experience with functional equivalence testing Familiarity with architecture governance and enterprise practices. -Requirements- Minimum Education: University degree years of experience Keywords: architect, arquitecto, architecture, arquitectura, senior, sr
