Apply here to launch an extraordinary career today.** AES is seeking a **Substation Operator-1** Responsible for controlling, supervising, and executing on-site all maintenance and operation processes related to InterAndes and TermoAndes’ 345 kV Substations and High-Voltage Transmission Lines. This role oversees O&M activities enabling the company to fulfill its purpose, achieve short- and medium-term departmental objectives, and consistently ensure personnel and equipment safety as well as compliance with obligations arising from regulatory agencies’ directives. The role must ensure maximum availability of facilities to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI). **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure functionality and maintenance of installations. * Develop and maintain up-to-date O&M procedures for SSEE and 345 kV LAT within the area of responsibility. * Comply with TRANSNOA’s Technical License requirements. * Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for InterAndes’ area of responsibility (maintenance plans for SSEE and 345 kV LAT). * Plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks. * Propose annual budgetary and investment needs for the area to the SSEE and 345 kV LAT Management. * Monitor and control SSEE and 345 kV LAT installations through inspections, data collection, review and execution of maintenance notices, etc. * Monitor and control maintenance of the overall power plant site, buildings, and green spaces. * Review content and collaborate on controlling the preparation of all work reports generated during maintenance activities. * Track information flow and communications with other corporate departments. * Request procurement of materials and services required for the area. * Execute, coordinate, and maintain records of maintenance department activities. * Ensure compliance with Technical Standards applicable to SSEE and Power Transmission Lines. * Control commissioning and operational processes for SSEE and 345 kV LAT. * Operate and maneuver various SSEE and 345 kV LEAT equipment. * Collaborate and operate various SSEE and 345 kV LAT processes jointly with the Supervisor and SSEE and 345 kV LAT Manager. * Perform isolations and prepare Work Permits for different equipment at SSEE and 345 kV LEAT, conduct Job Safety Analyses, lockouts, and tagging—coordinating with Cobos / Andes Dispatch Centers. * Conduct field patrols and periodic equipment tests per established schedules. **Requirements:** * Technical degree in Electrical, Electronics, and/or Electromechanical Engineering. * Preferably 3–5 years of experience in Electrical Substations, Transmission Lines, Distribution, and/or Power Generation Plants. * Training in Operation and Maintenance of electrical installations. * Technical training in Electricity, SSEE, Energy Transmission/Generation. * Live-line work, working at heights, and transmission safety. * Microsoft Office Suite (minimum Word and Excel), SAP PMM. **We improve the lives of more than 10\+ million people through safe and reliable energy delivery.
