We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **GCP Backend / Cloud Engineer** to join our fast\-moving, cross\-functional engineering squads. The ideal candidate has deep hands\-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), strong backend development skills in Python, and the ability to design, build, and optimize cloud\-native solutions in a dynamic, high\-velocity environment. This role requires strong communication skills, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate within mixed teams while quickly adapting to new projects and evolving priorities. ### **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and deploy backend services and cloud\-native applications on Google Cloud Platform. * Build and maintain scalable architectures using Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and other GCP services. * Write clean, efficient, and well\-tested Python code for backend systems and cloud integrations. * Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high code quality and continuous deployment reliability. * Collaborate with cross\-functional squads, including frontend, product, DevOps, and data teams, to deliver end\-to\-end solutions. * Monitor system performance, perform debugging, and optimize cloud resources for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency. * Adapt quickly between projects and contribute to both ongoing initiatives and new technical challenges. * Communicate effectively with technical and non\-technical teammates, ensuring clarity, alignment, and transparency. **Requirements** * 5\+ years of hands\-on experience working with **GCP** in production environments. * Strong proficiency with **Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions**, and related GCP services. * Advanced backend development experience with **Python** (APIs, microservices, automation, cloud integrations). * Solid understanding of **CI/CD pipelines**, DevOps workflows, and modern software delivery practices. * Experience working in fast\-paced squads and highly collaborative product teams. * Strong communication skills with the ability to integrate quickly into mixed and distributed teams. * Proactive, independent mindset with strong problem\-solving abilities. * Ability to switch between multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities. * Fluent English (written and spoken). **Benefits** At Devsu, we believe in creating an environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally.
